this is for any generation of the ipod touch plug your ipod touch into your pc with your charge/sync cable once itunes see's your ipod click on the tab for your ipod touch and ake sure you are on the summary tab and click on restore ipod now it will ask you if you want to restore your ipod touch from a previously saved backup or to factory settings click on restore to factory settings and what it will do is reset the ipod touch to factory settings this will take around 5 to 10 minutes depending on what is on your ipod touch now resetting your ipod touch to factory settings will erase everything that is on the ipod touch and once it is done with that process it will let you know what to do when it is done resetting the ipod touch
