Why can't I save images from Safari anymore?

Not sure if this was the case in 2014... but on my iPhone 7 today... it depends on HOW HARD YOU PRESS.

Use a LIGHT touch when you tap-and-hold the image you want to save or copy.. if you press HARD, the menu will not come up.

I agree.. frustrating problem, but easy when you figure it out.

I've encountered this problem today on iPhone but not iPad - same iOS version 10.2.1. It must be a safari issue as if I use the Google app it lets me save images. Whereas with safari when I tap/hold the background goes grey and no options pop up. Phoned Apple but they couldn't resolve the issue.

Why so complicated? Android let’s you save images from your browser with only one tap... this should be like the first option given when tapping on an image from an external source.

You have to tap on the image so that it pops up, then you can press to Save Image, like in the given picture

I'm having the same problem, i guess it's something about the update

This is happening to me too, it has to be from the update because it's only been happening since then :/

I have noticed when you click the picture and the pic highlights. It only highlight about 3/4 of the picture from left to right. But the 1/4 to the right of the picture you can hold and it will then pop up with the save image option included.

Would be nice to get an answer on this and a fix. I cant even click on a picture anymore to bring it up from safari. I don't even get the other listed options anymore.

Hi, if you are still interested, I found a solution. so quick tap on the picture in Images that you want, then under the pictures you'll see three vertical dots, next to closing cross. when you are pressing on dots you'll have several option, you need to press "view image".

The image will open in seperate tab and then you can save it as you would usually do it. hope it helps! )))

DUDE listen up i had the exact same problem it was really frustraiting just download the google app not safari or chrome just google all you have to do is tap and hold and it saves.
