iphone cant delete bookmarks

I have a iphone 5 with latest ios 7 and i have bookmarks from icloud that i accidentally merged from my ipad and when i try to turn off safari bookmarks in icloud it works and shows safari is off BUT the bookmarks are still there and so then i tried to delete the bookmarks right from safari, and when i swipe to the left and click delete, it just doesn't delete. please help me, thanks.

i have tried:turn on safari bookmark, then turn off safari bookmarks again, window will appear telling you to keep or delete the data in your iphone. choose delete.

it doesnt work ^^^^^ it makes more duplicates.

i cant even delete one bookmark at all in the first place and my icloud bookmarks are synced to my iphone 5 with ios 7.1 and i want to remove them all. help.
