After installing the new iOS 7.1, my iPad will no longer mirror when I received an income Facetime call.

Il will try at home as soon as possible, but... have you tried to update AppleTV? They have released an update, maybe the two devices must be "aligned".

Just had the same problem. Have an iPhone 5c that I have not updated and it can initiate airplay mirroring both during or before the call. My two iPads (ipad 2 and an air) which are updated to 7.1 cannot initiate airplay of facetime during a call, has to be done before call.

Step backwards, needs fixing to way it was.

I am having the same problem. Brand new iPhone 5s, updated to iOS 7.1. AirPlay mirroring will work but it stops when I try to FaceTime. I had the same problem at my parents' house last night with their iPad 2. Apple TV and the iPad both had complete updates. Spent two hours on the line with customer service last night (PS - Ron was very nice and tried to help but it was no use).

On two different iOS devices and two different Apple TV units, I can only conclude this is an iOS 7.1 bug. Glad my ipad with retina is still running iOS 6 because this is a major problem.

After the iOS 7.1 update my iPhone 5S no longer shows AirPlay at all. The iPad Mini 2 (also with the 7.1) update does show AirPlay. Very weird.

In response to your comment, I can't even fix it that way. If I have Airplay initiated before the Facetime call, the Airplay mirroring stops, and the Apple TV goes back to the home screen.

I know people who got the iPad and the Apple TV almost exclusively for Facetime chats with family members far away. This is totally ruining their enjoyment of the Apple products.

Just thought I'd see if anyone had any luck with this. It still wasnn't working for me as of yesterday.

This seems to be a major bug.

I am also having this issue... It is the main reason for my AppleTV purchase over a roku or similar..... was the mirroring and FT ability related. I hope this gets fixed soon... we use FT a lot to chat with family and friends all over!

I had same issues and I updated my iPhone to version 7.1.1. The problem has been fixed.

I updated to 7.1.1. Still having the same problem. It does not appear to be fixed.

Confirmed, same issue with 7.11 (with updated ATV), can only mirroring before or after either FaceTime or Skype Call.

I wish Apple would fix this. Here is a work around. Start Airplay before you make the call. If the person that your calling wants to also use Airplay hang up and have them start Airplay then call back.
