iPhone 5s is slow after upgrade to 7.1

Hi !

I upgraded my iPhone 5s to 7.1 recently. After the upgrade, the iPhone is much slower than before when launching any application:

* When any app icon is touched, it remains darker for ~1/3sec before to launch. This happens for every single application, every single time after the upgrade.

This makes the iPhone much slower than previous IOS 7.0...

I found that if I put the phone in airplane mode, then the problem is not there anymore, but re-appears as soon as airplane mode is turned off.

I tried to reset the network settings but did not help.

I have exactly the same problem as you! Luckily I'm not the only one. I can tell you none of the resets solve this problem. I have tried every kind of reset. I guess there has to come an update for this. Is closing an app in multi-tasking also laggy sometimes?

iOS 7.1 actually was developed to improve performance on iDevices. My 5S is noticeably faster after updraging to 7.1. However you should do a complete restore using iTunes. Do not set up from a backup.

i have the same problem 😟 when i'm entering airplane mode (or turning hotspot connection+connect device), it's getting faster. it's happanning after ios 7.1 now i have 7.1.1 and it's the same. iphone 5 with ios 7.0.6 is faster then my ios 7.1.1 iphone 5s. please help us 😟 apple help

Having the same issues here, with a 5S running 7.1.1. Dare I say my 3GS that I upgraded from was faster...
