Hi when I just updated to iOS 7.1 and Siri automatically activates and music automatically stops playing how do u fix this?

When does this happen? Randomly? When you pick the phone up? More info please...

Thanks , I have a very similar issue with my iphone 4 (recently upgraded to 7.1)

For me the old voice control app just kicks in and the Music App becomes useless. Despite reboots and application restarts the voice contol app continues to randomly switch on for 10 or 20 seconds.

Following on the music playlists become jumpy , play back speeds ups, breaks up and stops.

I have tried full a restore from itunes back ups but with out success. My OS 7 build worked just fine

Have to say I really regret upgrading to 7.1 as key part of the iphone functionality is now useless.

Any advice please ?

Back up and restore your software via iTunes. If the problem continues, restore as a NEW device. If this solves it, that means there is some corruption in your backup file, or maybe it's one of your apps causing the trouble. If the problem is still there, you should take it to the Genius Bar at an Apple Store for evaluation.

I have a similar problem with my iPhone 5s once I upgraded it to iOS 7.1. Music player stops automatically and is happening frequently. I did reset my phone settings and also did a hard reset but that did not help. Please advise.

See if you need to turn off Raise To Speak if it is turned on in Settings => General => Siri.

Make sure you don't have any of the accedssibility options turned on Settings => General => Accessibility Voice Over, Speak Auto Text, Speak Selection.

I did notice that it was Siri that initially caused the trouble. However, after reset Siri is completely off and also I don't have any of the accessibility options on.

My Ipad 3 has started this with the IOS 8 update. I turned off Siri.
