can anyone help me get my internet to work again on my clamshell ibook plz
Mac OS 9.2.x
click the symbol in the red circle
Select "turn wifi on". When the symbol looks like this
Then the radio is on. Now click that symbol again and select a network to connect to.
it shows it working but when i go tothe browser it says its not installed
Can you post a screen shot of your System Prefences, Network screen? Use command-shift-4 to lasso the object for the picture. Then use the camera Icon on the replay to upload the image.
i just got the thing so i dont know much about it i know it has os 9 and osx but wont got to osx and it says i have no browser but i used it before so i dont know what the deal is witth it
OS 9? You are in a Mountain Lion section which is OS 10.8. If you are OS 9, that's before my time on Macs. I'm sure the browser is still called safari. Look for safari in your applications folder.
If you see anything like my eariler post in the top menu bar, it is not OS 9.
when o got it it had osx mountain lion then for somereason when i turned it back on it came up as os 9.2 dont know how to get it back to osx mountian lion but it shows my airport card with bunch of green dots when it on but will not let me go to the internet
Reboot the computer and hold the option key at the boot chime. If there are multiple OS's on your computer this may let you chose 10.8.x which is mountain Lion.
tried that it says there on same not dual do u know how i can use another computer and reinstall it and make it work mine has cd rom
