iTunes won't recognize iPhone 5s on Windows 8.1 x64 bit!

This is the first time that I have had this problem that I can recall. The thing is though, that it only started once I updated to ios 7.1, and updated iTunes to the latest update (forgot which one it was). No matter what I do, iTunes will NOT recognize my iPhone. No matter what I do, whether I plug it in, or try and use the WiFi sync, it won't recognize it. When it is manually plugged in to my computer, my compute recognizes it as a device and all but iTunes won't display it or do anything like that and this is preventing me from putting music from my iTunes onto my iPhone. Computer sepcs, Windows 8.1 x64, 6 gigs RAM, Nvidia Geforce 650 ti (2 gigs vram), AMD A8-5500 3.20 GHz.
