Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 and Garageband

Trying to get a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 to communicate with Garageband in a Mac mini using OSX 10.9.2. Downloaded Focusrite USB 2 Driver and when I initially clicked on the .pkg, the computer told me that my System Preferences weren't allowing the .pkg to be opened becasue it wasn't "identified". Went in System Preferences>Security and Privacy and identified it.

I have a bass connected to the 2i2 and I can hear it via headphones connected to it, but not through the speakers.

Just went to the "Sound" section in the System Preferences, and had a "headphones" option and a "Scarlet 2i2 USB" option for output. Set it to Scarlet. However, in the "Line In" section, I only have "Audio line-in port" as the only option.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
