ipod touch 4th gen battery drops quickly

i bought an used ipod from ebay but there wasnt anything stated about a battery issue...the battery drops from 100% to 40% and to 20% and the it goes to 60% again...is it a problem or it can do this because it has a long time to be charged?

please help if anyone knows tell me thanks

% battery is not accurate on an iPod. You will see large fluctuations in % battery with load changes like you stop a video. What you see is normal. The test is after charging for 4 your how long does a full charge last. About 4-5 hours of video is normal but may be less with a well used iPod
