unsuccessful reinstallation of office for mac
got a new macbook as my last one was stolen last week and did a time machine backup. but my documents would not work. Tried to reinsatll mac for office as I had the disc and key but didn't help. Tried many times. Thought i needed to buy another copy so downloaded another version. still doesn't work.
instead of the Word/PP and Excel icon, the icon which appears in their place is a sheet of paper with a pencil ruler and paint brush.
I am really struggling with this now and have wasted a lot of money.
can anyone advise?
