Why does it say I don't have enough storage to download a movie when it says I have 1.4GB available/

You need twice what the video is to download it to iPad.
Download movie to iTunes (computer) if you do not have enough space on iPad.
You can watch it on iPad using Home Sharing.
I have found on my 26 GB iPad Air, using Home Sharing, that the iPad Air must have 5-6 GB free space to share any movies w a computer running iTunes12.2.5.
If you have less, iOS8 will ask you first to check storage in system prefs, then if you ignore the message, the movie will quit on the iPad Air.
I am trying to download a movie but I don't have enough storage. I have 1.4 GIG available however..help
