Q: Contacts from my iPhone not showing up in my Mac

Hello.

I owned a Mac before and when I entered my account information it imported ALL my iphone contacts. Now with my current Mac it shows only few of my contacts as icloud contacts and doesn't show the others. Can somebosy explain to me the difference and why most of my contacts are not on icloud and what I can do about it?

    If I may add to this answer: I was having this problem as well and I had looked everywhere trying to determine the problem. I personally finally tracked it down to a gmail issue! I had at some time included gmail contacts on my iPhone (Contacts-->Groups and under GMAIL "All Gmail was checked) and consequently I had contacts showing up on my iPhone which were from gmail and therefore not synched to iCloud and therefore not synched to my Mac. Heads up if you use gmail!
