Do Not Localize string issue in Mavericks Bluetooth setting

The same problem blow:

The icon shows my mouse is connected, but it don't work at all.

When I open the preferences->bluetooth, it seems not respond. After 1min, show the bluetooth setting, but "Do Not Localize".

My device is Logtech M557.

To resolve the problem, I must restart or sleep 1 min. But it cannot resolve it completely. It may occur some time.

It's really a trouble! I bought it JUST 2 weeks ago!

Who knows the problem of software or hardware one?

May I send it to repair or how to fix it?

Same problem here, with magic mouse. Upon switchnig bluetooth off, the icon stays black.

Solutions tried out:

- killing the blued daemon process

- deleting the bluetooth plist file

- reseting PRAM and SMC

- updating from 10.9.1 to 10.9.2

None of these helped, except from restart.

Hey,

I struggled with this for awhile. In system report it would say my bluetooth was working and then it wasn't and then it was. I put in a new bluetooth board and it's working awesomely ever since. I have tried these too.

I wonder apple has known the problem. It seems a system bug, from the system log. I have reported it at https://bugreport.apple.com.
