I lost all my documents when I updated to OS X Mavericks

I need to know what should I do!!!!! I´m going crazy!!!😢

You read wrong, you need an external HD (actually 2 is better) to perpetually backup and archive your data. Period without exceptions.



What file did you store the data IN , on your Air's SSD? look there, gone?


Did you accidentally perform a recovery on your Air instead of an update?

If all your files are missing

You may have logged in as a different user, such as Guest. Open the Users & Groups pane in System Preferences. Your name should be at the top of the user list, under Current User. See also this support article.

If files are missing from one folder

Change the Finder view mode; for example, from icon view to list view, or vice versa.
