How can I update my Macbook Pro with OS X Mavericks with HP Printer Drivers that will allow me to scan to my computer?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS 9.2.x

Determine if your scanner is supported:

If so, install the software with software update or from here:

Wow, i WISH i would have found his article a few months ago, when i finally updated my Mac Pro from 10.7 to Mavericks.


It's so misleading, as the printer appears to be supported, but lost functionality: can no longer print two-sided or scan! In the past, software update would offer to download the missing (non-generic) driver, but not with Mavericks.


Apple, please bring this back!! I'm glad i found driver package (HP Printer Drivers v3.0 for OS X), but I found the link on HP's support forum!!
