Q: Airplay with receiver

I would recommend making sure that your Onkyo TX-8050 is connected to your wireless network. You may have to refer to the Onkyo website for instructions and possible troubleshooting documentation. If it is connected to your wireless network and you are still experiencing issues, here is a troubleshooting article that I would recommend going through.

When searching the web, I found a page that says "AirPlay Compatible No".
Crutchfield Onkyo TX-8050 AM/FM/Internet radio receiver
So you may not be able to wirelessly stream to it unless you connect it to an Airport Express Base Station or something similar. Basically use the Airport Express as the Airplay "receiver" for your Receiver.
