Q: is there a way to purchase itune credit without using an itunes gift card

I have gift card credit on my account but want to purchase an app and not use the credit. It there a way to do this via credit card or by additional credit for my itunes account?

iPad, iOS 5.1.1

    Order of iTunes billing methods

    When making purchases, content credits are used first, followed by Gift Certificate, iTunes Card, or Allowance Account credits; your credit card or PayPal account is then charged for any remaining balance.
