    I think Mavericks is much better. Better memory management. Faster.

     

    If you've got an external, install it on there and test it out for yourself.

    Define better?  I find Mountain Lion more stable and compatable but it is a .5 release.  Mavericks has great features for notebooks but I find it less stable on it's .2 release.  Snow leopard was the most stable for me but I was running the .8 release.

     

    I value stability and compatability on my Mac Pro so it's still on ML.  The great features of Mavericks I enjoy on my MacBook Air.  I'm sure when Mavericks gets to its .5 release it will be on my Mac Pro as well.

    Easily Mavericks for me. Faster, better battery life and just snappier all around. And That is on all our five Macs.
