If you've got an external, install it on there and test it out for yourself.

Mar 15, 2014 6:29 PM in response to catherineduyaby ssls6,Define better? I find Mountain Lion more stable and compatable but it is a .5 release. Mavericks has great features for notebooks but I find it less stable on it's .2 release. Snow leopard was the most stable for me but I was running the .8 release.
I value stability and compatability on my Mac Pro so it's still on ML. The great features of Mavericks I enjoy on my MacBook Air. I'm sure when Mavericks gets to its .5 release it will be on my Mac Pro as well.
