My Home Sharing on apple tv isn't working after getting a new router. Any ideas?

I have had my apple TV for a while and its always worked on home sharing where I could use my iphone/ipad as a remote or share something from any one of my apple devices. Recently my router stopped working so I purchased a new one. I setup all my devices on my new home network, but homesharing doesn't seem to be working. When I try to use my iphone as a remote it tells me to turn on home sharing on my apple tv, but when I look its already on. I've tried turning it off and on and etc.

My Apple tv does work where if I use the out of the box remote that came with it I can stream. I just can't share anything to it.

My previous router was an old linksys router, I just purchased a netgear.

Any ideas?
