Intermittent sound and flickering picture

Everything on my AppleTV has intermittent sound andhe picture flickers. I tried rebooting the Apple TV unit. That did not help. My widfi connection seems to be OK. Anyone know hat is going on?

I encountered this same issue. Checked hdmi connections. Restarted my TV and AppleTV, then the TV couldn't even read the hdmi signal. Tried different ports, no signal. Tried a new hdmi cable, problem solved!

Welcome to the Apple Community.

Check that the HDMI cable is correctly seated at both ends.
Try disconnecting the cable and connecting it again.
Try another HDMI cable.
Try the Apple TV with another TV

Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.

Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Reset the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings)
Restore the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Restore)

Thanks for the help. Replaced the HDMI cable and all is well.
