problem with icalendar

My icalendar does not show the month or date correctly...please see below

For example in the "day" view of the calendar, even thought I am in 9 March 2014 the day view shows 9 Marchary 2014...

Also in the month view when I go add a new event, again even though i am on the 11 March 2014....the entry event shows the "from" and "to" dates as 11 january 2014

Let me add screen shots

As you can see from the attached I created a "test" appointment on the 22nd March but only the date is the issue the time is fine...

In the attachments below you see on the moth view whilst i am on the 22nd March in the March calendar when i drill down on the appointment itself on the 22nd March the date comes up as "22nd January".......

As for the day view you can see in the top right it shows 22n January, in list of appointments for the day it shows 22nd Marchary....

Appreciate if someone can advise if they have experienced the same problem and if so how to remedy it...its very annoying
