Ive put my ipod touch 5th gen onto recovery mode,to restore my ipod, it takes about 2 hours to restore but about half way,my ipod turns on and says its disabled is this supposed to happen? 😠

Make sure you have the Latest Version of iTunes (v11.1.5) Installed on your computer

You may need to try this More than Once... Be sure to Follow ALL the Steps...


Take your time... Pay particular attention to Steps 3 and 4


Some users have reported as many as 8 or 9 attempts were necessary before success

Try disabling the computer's antivirus and firewall.

- Next try the manual install method of:

iDevice Troubleshooting 101 :: iPhone, iPad, iPod touch

Place the iPod in recovery mode after the firmware download is complete and then restore using the instructions in the article. Sometimes recovery mode timeouts and returns to disabled before the firmware download is complete.

- Then try on another computer
