Nike + Insoles

Is it just me or is Nike missing the boat by not producing an aftermarket insole that is designed for runners and has a hole for the little transmitter/sensor? I mean, if they only knew how many of us have figured out other ways to make the Sport Kit work...

Better yet, is there any chance that someone other than Nike can produce an insole for this purpose (I doubt it since I'm sure Nike has a patent, but just a thought).
