None of the links offered any solutions. Am able to airplay video and airplay mirror my screen no problem except with Facetime. If I get a facetime call there is no airplay option.

I am also having trouble with airplay option missing when using face time with the 7.1 update. I have iPone 5, iPhone 5s and an IPad. All three of these lost the airplay option during a FaceTime call. Airplay works on everything else. I now have the 7.1.1 and it made absolutely no difference. It use to worke great before the 7.1 update. I've called Apple 3 times and have three active case numbers on this. The worh around is to start airplay before you make the facetime call but after you ar in the call there is no option to stop airplay till you hab=ng up and boom there is the airplay option.
