iPod wont charge

Im on my 6th charger but none of them will work. Ive tryed a different adapter and that isnt the problem. Ive plugged it into a laptop and it still doesnt work. Its an iPod 5th generation and Im pretty sure the warrenty is up. I dont want to keep buying chargers what do I do?

- Try another cable. The cable for 5G iPod (lightning connector) seems to be more prone to failure than the older cable.

- Try another charging source

- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.

- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
