Can you combine two separate itune account libraries to one account?

I had an itunes account 6 years ago and had the computer crash. Being stupid, when I got the new computer I just opened a new account instead of trying to recover the old one. I have now figured out how to get on my old one but need to know if I can combine the two accounts.

Unfortunatrely it can't be done. Content purchased on an account is permanently tied to that account, with no way to chnage.

However, you can combine content from two accounts into a single library. Also, you should pick your preferred account and use it for all purchases going forward.
