iPhone 5s & battery calibration

I just got an iPhone 5s on T-Mobile last week and I am running iOS 7.1.

I followed this guide on how to calibrate the battery.

In order to keep the battery calibrated and not break the cycle, do I need to follow their guide precisely?

I mean, let the battery die, re-charge and keep it plugged-in and let it "charge" for another hour after it hits the 100% mark?
