MS Word doc display is tiny since installing Mavericks. Please help!

I recently installed Maveriks and since then can no longer view my MS word documents in the normal screeen size. Well, actually I open the document fine however it shows up in a tiny window which won't expand like it normally does. I tried clicking on preferences and viewing the settings but there doesnt seem to be anything relevant I can change which will help with this. Please help!!!
