My iCloud and iPhone are not synching to my MacBook's calendar properly, I had added 100's of birthday's as a PA that I need to sync to my phone with reminders. Could it be because these are set on "all day" - help please!

It sounds like you have calendars on your computer that arent syncing to your iCloud enabled iPhone. I recommend first logging into https://www.icloud.com to see if the calendars you are adding and editing are able to be found there. If so, then use the iOS Troubleshooting section of the article named:
iCloud: Troubleshooting iCloud Calendar

If the events are not there either, I would use the Troubleshooting on Mac OS X section instead.
