No email requires Java.

In the event you would like to Install Java under 10.6, look in your Utilities folder for Java Preferences. Open that and if java is not Instaled, it will offer to get the appropriate version from the correct source and install it for you.

Mar 17, 2014 8:34 AM in response to Grant Bennet-Alderby bobbinnobbin,How so? I called my ISP (Charter Comm) and they informed me that the Java upgrade was now required to run email. The email is not working. What else could it be? Oracle is no longer supporting Java 6 for Macs running 10.6 OS.
