Mar 17, 2014 9:03 AM in response to hemantfromtxby varjak paw,You can't. Bluetooth in iOS is supported primarly for connection to Bluetooth audio and in-car hands-free devices, or for tethering (aka Personal Hotspot) a computer to use the iPhone's cell data connection.

You cannot use Bluetooth to connect to a Samsung phone for any purpose I know of.
Regards.

Mar 17, 2014 9:16 AM in response to varjak pawby hemantfromtx, well, i want to stream/transfer audio files from my samsung phone to iphone. however iphone is simply not detecting just any device...neither my samsung mobile nor my blue tooth enabled PC and not even another iphone in vicinity.
For iphone to detect other device do they need to have anything specific? its hard to belive my iphone is not detecting another i5s phone next to it.

Again, you can't do this. iOS does not support it.

Again, except for a few shared third-party games and photo-sharing apps which are very limited, even between iPhones Bluetooth connection is not supported, and it's not at all with another brand of phone. The page on the supported profiles gives you what Bluetooth is capable of in iOS.
