iOS 7.1 crash in Notification Center

My iphone 4 got faster with 7.1 update. Thank Apple.

But I could see the OS crashing when I take the Notification Center.

The black screen with white apple log comes over. The screen returns to lock screen much faster than a boot. So I guess this is an interface crash, or a desktop environment crash in terms of Linux terminology I'm familiar with. But the crash is capable of disconnecting an ongoing phone call and killing all the apps.

After a few minutes on trial and error, I could find that this happens only when the Calendar Day View in Notification Center is switched on and there is an entry in Calendar, in either iCloud or Google calendars.

Are there anyone out there who are facing this problem?

iPhone 4 (8GB), iOS 7.1, Has a "lock screen freeze" too.

Hello everyone.

There`s a workaround to fix this trouble, not permanently, but at least it allows you to keep using the Calendar in Notification center using iPhone 4 and IOS 7.x :

Hope it helps.

It seems a "bug" between IOS 7.x and iPhone 4. I already sent some emails to Apple, but they haven`t responded yet.

Best regards.

In the above link what I could understand is this: either go for a restore as new or turn of Calendar View. Which was the actual solution you meant? I would like to use the Calendar View; so turning it off in Notification is not an option, though I do that now to avoid a UI crash. Had already tried restore as new. That too is not an option for me.

Hello.

The workaround consists in turning off the Calendar View in the notification center. If you leave it on, iPhone 4 will keep crashing, at least in my case.

I tried also to restore the iPhone as suggested by other users, but the phone kept crashing .

I would suggest to reach Apple , as I did several days ago, to insist them to respond and fix this, in case that there is a bug into iOS.

Best regards,
