Colour Profile settings

I am using Aperture 3.5. My camera is a Canon 60d.

My camera is set to sRGB colour space. I have noticed that if I import into Aperture a jpg file the profile is shown in the EXIF data as sRGB IEC61966-2.1, however if I import a RAW image, with the Canon 60d still set to sRGB then the profile in Aperture is now Adobe RGB (1998). Is there a preset for importing that amends this profile? I prefer to maintain the sRGB as this will be the base for the printers, although I may apply a paper profile when exporting to send to the printers.
