i have iphone4s, its current version is 5.0.1. software update in phone is showing update of ios6.1.3. Wheras in computer its showing ios7.1. while i try to update from phone error occurs and when i try to update from computer again error occurs(3004)

Don't worry that your code 3004 is not on the list.
Look at the error types and choose the one that you get, then read that article .
My phone update is not showing ios 7.1 but its showing ios 6.1.3. Page u advised dont have any 3004 error description
I told you, 3004 is not there in the list, but one of the links on that page tells you how to solve it (hacked phones can not be updated).
