Why is my Samsung 840 EVO 750gb SSD HD only showing half the capacity? I know Apple says that OSX treats SSD space a little differently, but half and half? can't even restore from Time Machine back-up because it's a little more than 350gb's? Tried eraseing it and re-partitioning, even manually write in the space but it defualts back to 356gb "in use".

So if you go to Disk Utility and choose the drive... not the name like Mac HD or whatever, but the raw drive and click the partition tab, does it just show one partition?
No it showed two, but I took it back to best buy, they put it on a PC and same thing, it was a defective SSD drive. He mentioned that HD's can just come out of the factory with bad libraries, or the software that manages the space. getting another one shippped so we'll see if it happens again. Thanks
