permission denied on mac to files put in my shared folder by windows user

Hello,

I set up a shared folder on my Mac OS Mountain Lion via the usual method. I enabled samba and added the username and password from the windows 7 machine to the list of users which are allowed to acces my shared folder on mountain lion.

All is good, my mac and the windows machine can see the files shared BUT when the windows machine adds files or folders to my shared folder on Mac, I don't have permission to open or view them!

It's driving me crazy! I can regain control however if I go to - > get info -> permissions - > take ownership of the shared folder. but it is very inconvenient to have to do it every time.

anyone have any solutions?

the shared folder is on my mac and I want the windows user to have read and write permission to it.

thanks,

Andrei.
