Why won't my iTunes sync my music from the computer to my iPod?

I just got a new computer and I'm trying to fix my iPod and transfer all the new music to it, and it keeps saying I can't sync it because my iTunes library cant hold enough space or something like that when their is plenty of space on my iTunes library, can someone please help me?
