What does it mean, "eject before disconnecting" on the nano screen?
I am afraid to disconnect my new ipod from the computer, so I really appreciate the help. Thanks a lot for answering what probably is a stupid question!

When you look at iTunes on your computer, the icon on the right that looks like a up pointing triangle - that is the eject button. click that, then disconnect your iPod.
