Where is my iPhone (4S iOS 7.0.6) in iTunes?

Hi community,


since I updated to iTunes 11.1.5 my iPhone (connected by USB) isn't shown any more in iTunes.

(But still charging)


My Mac (business): iMac IntelC2D 2.66 - MacOS 10.6.8

new install didn't help

syncmate doesn't find my iPhone either ("chose ios device ...")


On my other iMac (private, MacOS 10.8.5, iTunes 11.1.5) everything ist working fine.


So I can't sync my business contacts and dates ...


Thought I will be forced to use icloud only with maverick?


Any suggestions?

It sounds like your phone is not being recognized by iTunes on a couple of computers after an iTunes update was applied. I recommend the troubleshooting steps from the article named:


iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows

Here is an overview of the troubleshooting to be done:

1. Update iTunes

2. Check the USB cable

3. Verify that Apple Mobile Device Support is installed

4. Restart the Apple Mobile Device Service

5. Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed

6. Check for third-party software conflicts
