Q: Time Machine roaming settings

Hi,

I have an Apple time machine and new airport express and would like to setup the following.

Setup Time machine as main network and then connect to the express by ethernet (homeplug) and then extend the network through this (not have a seperate network).

The problem i have is that the express is just a little too far away to get any good signal to extend wirless and i would prefer not to have two different wireless networks running around the house.  I have read that i should setup roaming network but the following instructions do not seem to be for latest airport utility software that i have which is 6.3.2

The roaming setting i have found are these but they seem old

Thanks Mark

They are old but the basics are identical.

Apple do need to do some work and update the documents.. especially for some of the most basic setups.

    The rule is easy.

The Express is in bridge mode.. that is router bridge.. so on the Network tab it will show, Off (bridge mode).

On the wireless tab, it will have Create a wireless network.

The wireless name (SSID) will be setup identical to the main router.

Choose the same security level.. wpa2 Personal being (at least IMHO) the only valid option.

    Type in the same password.

    Voila.. you are done.
