Email from apple@support.com

Good morning all!

I've received a funny email (a few actually in the last few days). I'm hesitant to do so because I did receive a phishing email once before. The FAQ link isn't clickable. I've read identifying legit emails from Apple - but I'm still stuck. It doesn't seem to fit into what is outlined in the article. What do you think?

Thanks for your help

Kristy

Yes, it is a phishing attempt. Do not respond. Do not divulge any personal or financial information. Forward the suspicious email to Apple at reportphishing@apple.com

I logged in through the official site and verified my data, can that cause me any problem?

I am worried.

Thank you

It's a fake message, and if you clicked on the link in the email you were probably taken to a site that faked Apple's site. IMMEDIATELY to go Apple's real site:

https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/

and change your password. If you cannot change the password, someone has taken your information and hijacked your account. You can try this:

https://iforgot.apple.com

and if that doesn't work either you'll need to call Apple Support and ask to speak with Account Security.

If you did not click on the link but rather went directly to Apple, then as SJF said you should have little to worry about.

Regards.

Received 2 mails in 30 min time, from: support@apple.com... Legit? I doubt that

Links direct me to what looks to be a flash page under this address:

None other buttons except "manage your Apple ID" works. I'd rather had my account frozen than be a victim of a fishing scam.
