.pages is the .zip file. Where is the text?

Hi

We know that .pages is the zip file, which contains photos and text.....

In the new version 5.1. when I unzip it, I see the following folders:

DATA

METADATA

and files:

index.zip

preview-micro.jpg

peview.jpg

My question:

WHERE I can find the text, which has been written in this file? In this ZIP archive I see only pictures and system-files, live .IWA and .PLIST

And I need to fine the text, that words...

I need it is, as PAGES doesn't open my important file any more, showing the message that is cannot open this file... So I am trying just to get at least the text from my file... Can anyone help?

I did warn you.

It is really only meant to be read by Pages 5, which it seems to occassionally not do, for reasons we do not know. And frankly I don't think Apple knows why either.

It does have the occassional recognisable bit, but that is the best you are going to get. We have no clue how to reassemble it to make sense if it all fails. As you can see it is not something starightforward, except for the images.

Thanks I got it and had a good look at it, took it apart, removed duplicated sections, and reassembled it, but it still won't open.

I can see snippets of English in there but assume most would be in ?Russian? which would definitely be unrecognisable hexadecimal characters in TextWrangler.

You are not alone. I have seen at least 5 other users with exactly the same problem.

I can see no way of rescuing this file.

All I can do is warn you NOT to use Pages 5. For this and many other reasons.
