Q: Apple ID not working to sign into iMessage on my iPad

I am traveling internationally this month and a few day into my journey my Apple ID stopped working to send iMessages.  I have changed my password a few times, reset my network settings and tried to sign in multiple times but I always get the same response 'could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again.'   I am not very computer savvy but would love to be able to text of my iPad again...any suggestions?
