after installing ios 7.1 in to my 4s phone carrier option is not visible and therefore i cannot get net work area. pls advice next stage to followup

3. Ensure that your software is up to date:

4. Remove the SIM Cardand reinsert it. Allow the iPhone to acquire the network again.

today i updated my 4s with ios latest version and after that carrier option is not visible. therefore i cannot get in to network. pls advise.
