can't download mountain lion

I recently purchase a copy of Mountain Lion. I received my redemtion code, logged onto the App Store, clicked redeem, entered the code, and that's as far as I can get.

I see the OS in purchases and I can click download, after clicking download nothing happens. I get a quick spinning wheel after clicking download and that's it. No progress indicator, no messages, and no downloading app.
