Quicktime videos stop @random while audio continues

Trying to watch streaming videos from tv website and at random the screen goes black with a Q in the center. I've used ipad a lot for these shows with no problems, now all of a sudden this keeps happening. Reloading site seems to work but only for a bit then the same thing happens. Sometimes if I just let it continue to 'play' the video will come back on. Oh, BTW: the sound continues to work the whole time and the progress bar keeps running too. I've spent hours now trying to fix it and looking for similar probs via google...but to no avail!! HELP PLZ IF YOU KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON AND HAVE A LASTING FIX!!! Thanks in advance, Sage & Shepp.
