Hi, I got lucky and came across a free set of 4GB 2Rx8 PC3-10600S-09-11-F3 Ram. My question is, if an iMac model A1224 supports 1333MHz or not?

You cannot use 1333 MHz memory in that iMac.

Yes it does. I have 6gb (3 x 2gb DDR3 PC3 10600 1333Mhz) running in my A1224 as I type. It even recognizes it in System report.
Of course, I'm just waiting for it all to blow up.....😊
So I just did a memtest on my RAM, and it only shows up as 2gb available. Hmmm, Time to purchase some 1066Mhz chips!
Ummmmm......your MacBook has THREE ram slots?
The A1224 is an iMac, is it not? t certainly says so on mine.
Anyway, the memtest is not showing the full complement of 6GB of RAM because it cannot access all the RAM memory for it's test while running OS X. The machine however, will refuse to load up a full complement of 8GB.
So, does this mean that the answer to the OP, is yes it does. I haven't had any issues yet.

Ha! My mistake...thought I was still in the MacBook forum....needed more coffee I guess. If you want your Mac to work reliably you'll use the correct ram.
Yes, of course. They will only run at 1066Mhz, so the RAM is essentially overkill for the task! t just so happens that this is is how I received the iMac, and thus came across this post, as I was initially baffled as to why this RAM was used.😕
