Q: Is there a way to enforce two factor authentication with Back to My Mac?
I find it striking that Apple does not appear to give the user any way to enforce two factor authentication with back to my Mac. One authentication potentially gives someone access to all of your machines and all of your data.
This is particularly problematic for me, as I want to sync my iClould calendars and contacts with my work computer, and would like to occasionally use Back to My Mac on the system, but system administrators can can control my machine remotely, and can possibly even track my keystrokes.
I would really like to be able to request a second authentication in order for Back to My Mac to be turned on. Apple will do two-factor authentication when you want to put iClould on a new machine, but does not allow you to require it for Back to My Mac. (I would also like Apple to use a six digit second factor, like Google, instead of its present four digit factor, but that is another discussion).
