Q: bluetooth connection with a mac problems?

I cannot get an Macbook Pro and an Iphone to work with bluetooth. The will pair but then cannot connect. Mac message that services are not available. Iphone message that device is not supported.

iPhone 5, iOS 7.1

What are you trying to do by connecting them? The only Bluetooth profile that can be supported between the two is connecting to the iPhone to tether its internet connection. See this support document, but you cannot pair for file transfer purposes or otherwise. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3647
